This past weekend Birmingham's MMA world saw Battle Arena head to the Edgbaston cricket ground for a night featuring some of the best up and coming talents in Europe, including Mush Aslani who overcame his opponent Lukasz Szala via the judges scorecards.

Battle Arena is an organisation who host events all over the world and are Europes premier amateur MMA promotion, many European MMA stars have started their careers on the black canvas of the Battle Arena cage.
Mush aims to use this huge platform to push his career into the right direction and this Saturday he did just that. It was a great fight between two evidently strong welterweights, but Mush's wrestling was a level above and I believe won him this fight
"I'm trying to get back to the point where I was before everything went down on me (at cage warriors) but it seems they need some insured victories" I’ve got no problem with that, I’ll win few fights at local show and get to the top in short time, it maybe be slowly but it will be definitely"
Mush added "Every fighters goal is UFC and Bellator but every fighter has to climb the ladder step by step and cage warriors is a good path to UFC so let’s see how far I can push."
Mush has faced a lot of challenges both outside and inside the cage such as cancelled bouts and tough losses, but take nothing away from this man because he is a tremendous fighter. This is a man who has wins on both Cage Warriors and Full Contact Contender, he is also a decorated grappler competing across submission grappling rule sets and wrestling rule sets for the last decade at a national level collecting a silver at the ADCC trials and a gold at the NoGi British Open in the black belt division.
"I fought after 3 years lay off and I felt cage rust pretty much, I’m glad I stayed focused and got the victory at the end. I showed my striking game has improved and looking to show people some more in my upcoming fight"
"It was a stressful win to be honest as I needed a win to be able to fight where I truly deserve to fight, I belong to them big shows. I’ve been doing this too long and I’ve got the skillset to compete at the highest level."
Who knows where Mush could compete next but he definitely deserves to be recognised for his skill and hard work, there is talk of him fighting for the first ever Battle Arena 170lb belt which would be a great fight to take, I look forward to seeing just what his career holds for him.
