We are building up for Bellator 270 with an interview with one of the most experienced fighters on the card having 42 past fights, Lee 'The Butcher' Chadwick. Lee takes on Lithuanian Light Heavyweight Arunas Andriuskevicus who holds a record of 15 wins and 4 losses.

Neither of the two fighters have been in action this past year so I wondered if this could play a part in the fight, especially with both being quite far into their careers, but the two men looked to be in good shape at the weigh-ins today ahead of their bout in Dublin tomorrow.

"Well I’ve trained hard all year hoping to fight so I feel I’ve had a year of progression, I was meant to fight in America in June but contracted covid the week before I flew out" said Lee.

"There won’t be any ring rust from me, Arunas hasn’t been as active as me over the last few years so I’m hoping to use that to my advantage, but I do hope the best version of him turns up so I can beat the best he is."

With it being his first fight in a while and in the fight game preparation is always key, I asked Lee how he'd found camp and if there were any noticeable differences with this camp compared to his others.

"The only difference for this fight is the same as every fight, fine tuning the skills I have and adding little extras here and there, I constantly strive to better myself daily."

"This camp has been hard, it’s been a tough year of let downs and constantly breaking my body down to stay ready for all opportunities, so I’m looking forward to a big win to end the year and campaign for the top 10 in the world next year."

'The Butcher' is a very well rounded fighter and has an extremely impressive ground game, he has finished the fight in 20 out of his 26 wins and more than 2/3 of that is with a submission. His opponent, Arunas Andriuskevicus, has only seen his fight go to the judges in three of his 19 fights so I'm predicting that this fight does not go the distance as two absolute killers face off in Bellator's 205lb division.

Lee comes into this fight as the betting underdog, but having had over 40 fights this is definitely not for the first time. "I don't usually look into that I’ve been the underdog for many of my wins in the past, I’m sure he’ll be confident in his skills but so am I."
