This week we got to enjoy watching three British fighters compete at the two highest levels of MMA. Jai Herbert and Mason Jones took on opponents in Vegas at UFC Fight Night: Costa vs Vettori, and Aiden Lee flew out to Moscow for Bellator 269, but how did they all get on?

Let's start with the first round finish from Jai Herbert. At around 2 and a half minutes of the first round 'The Black Country banger' landed a nice combo which backed his opponent Khama Worthy up but Jai kept the pressure on with a head kick and then a barrage of punches which knocked his opponent to the ground, a savage ground and pound gave the referee no choice but to stop this bout with just 2 minutes 47 seconds on the clock to secure a bounce back win and put an end to his 2 fight skid. I look forward to seeing more from Jai Herbert in this very competitive lightweight division.
Next we go over to Moscow for our second first round finish from slight underdog and Jai Herberts fellow Team Renegade partner Aiden Lee. Lee knocked down Russian Alexander Osetrov and was able to quickly take his back and submit him with a rear naked choke showing just how good his jiu jitsu is. it's the 26 year olds 10th professional win as he looks to progress through the Bellator 145lb division.
It was 3 for 3 this weekend as Mason Jones rightfully secured a 29-28 win on all three judges scorecards, extending his record to 11-1 with 1 no contest. 'The Dragon' has been training with the infamous Team Alpha Male over the past weeks and his wrestling seemed to have developed nicely over there as he completed 8 takedowns over the 3 rounds earning 9 minutes of control time. A good bounce back win for the Welsh man as he too continues his journey this tough UFC lightweight division.
